Book your workshop today! I am a freelance arts educator throughout the Hudson Valley, and can work with you to tailor a class to your community, interests and budget. I teach mediums for Kids/Adults/Mixed Ages including: Drawing (ex. Dynamic Layering in Drawing, Still Life and Figure Drawing); Painting (ex. Watercolor from nature, Collaborative Painting with your Body); Embroidery; Printmaking; etc.

Recent Experience Includes:

  • Teaching Resident, Athens Cultural Center (ACC), August-November 2023. Classes were based on exhibitions in the gallery and my own practice. Classes included: Painting With Your Body (Co-Taught by Amanda Vaughn); Drawing Dream Creatures (For Lucid Dream Mini Golf Collaboration with ACC); Fall Floral Arranging and Watercolor; Plein Air at The Willows Preserve; Painting with Nature (Leaf Prints and Watercolor); Collective Memory and Drawing (Based on my own Solo Show at ACC); Imagining the Past with Art (Based on my own Solo Show at ACC); Halloween Mask Making; and Print Night at Left Bank Ciders (Block Printing with my collection of hand carved block prints)

  • Guest Teacher, Beatrix Farrand Garden Association, July 2023. Carved a custom linocut, which students printed on clothing and embroidered over.

  • Teaching Artist, Schoharie Free Library, March-April, 2023. Led multi-session classes in Intro to Drawing and Relief Printmaking, funded through a Project Grant from CREATE Council on the Arts, via New York State Council on the Arts.

  • Teaching Artist, Fall Kill Creative Works, 2021-Ongoing. Classes at FKCW have included: Valentines Printmaking Workshop; Rag-Rug Making; and Embroidery.

  • Exhibition Workshop, Dorsky Museum of Art, 2021. Led children’s workshop based on my work included in the Exhibition Who Really Cares.

  • Teaching Artist, Art Omi, June-August, 2019. 2D Teacher for daily classes, ages 5-15, including supervising teenage interns. Classes were based on the sculpture park and my own practice, and were taught entirely outside.
